List of Layoffs gets bigger
According to JobeeHive Layoff Counter, there are thousands of layoffs in India in high-tech sector: Globallogic, Navi Mumbai SEZ, Puravankara Projects, HSBC India, Sapient, Caritor India, etc.

Sapient is really going through a very bad phase. In June 2008, they laid off a whole batch of freshers recruited through Campus.
A few of those guys happen to be from my College. They are very upset about the move. Some of them have even moved in different direction and gone for teaching.
"The company has ruined our lives", one of those guys quoted.
